Mr. Abner was my neighbor for 26 years. Mr. & Mrs. Peele and Mr. Abner were always around when my daughter was growing up and she loved to run over and talk to them and walk with Mr. Peele down the street. Mr. Abner was always so sweet and had lots of little jokes when you talked to him. My husband loved to talk to him about NASA and they talked many times about the past. I will miss him standing in his drive and waving or telling me a funny story as we came by. He was an awesome man and a true gentleman.

To the Askew family,
I would like to extend my deepest condolences for your loss. Our loving God keeps us all in his memory and promises to reunite us with our loved ones. But until then we still have to cope with our grief. Hopefully this verse from the Bible brings you a measure of comfort…Rev. 21:4, 5
