Angela “Angie” Wheeler Blanton, age 53, of Woodland, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh.
She was born on April 6, 1969 to Otis and Charlotte Wheeler.
If you didn’t know Angie, I am so sorry. She was one of the kindest people with the biggest heart you would have ever known. You could always count on her for a smile, a kind and genuine hello, and definitely a prayer every single time you needed one. She didn’t have a vindictive hair on her head. Her kindness was contagious. I doubt seriously she knew what kind of impact she had on our community, but we know how much she will be missed. We have suffered a great loss. (Tina Francis)
Angie was a member of Galatia Baptist Church. She was a teacher’s assistant for the two and three year olds, as well as working with Mission Friends. She enjoyed going to White Lake with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Smith Wheeler; her father, Otis Fleetwood Wheeler; and her brother, William Otis “Bill” Wheeler.
