Ann Bunch “Cookie” Allsbrook, 77, died Friday, June 18, 2010.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The Reverend Caswell Shaw will be presiding.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She attended Scotland Neck High School and the Parkview School of Nursing in Rocky Mount. Ann married Thomas Allsbrook on August 26, 1954 and they were married for 55 years. She worked as a nurse at Our Community Hospital in Scotland Neck and as a private nurse for Dr. C.H. Neville. Ann was also a homemaker and raised four children. She was a good neighbor and a friend to many.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Bunch; and a sister, Shirley Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Allsbrook; daughters, Lynn A. Woodard and husband Woody of Wake Forest and Tommi Gayle Kirkland and husband George of Tarboro; sons, Britt Allsbrook of Nashville and Jeff Allsbrook and wife Trish of Wilmington; sisters, Virginia Melton of Havelock and Hazel Cooke of Scotland Neck; and three grandchildren, Julie Ann Kirkland, Tracy Leigh Kirkland, and Zach Allsbrook.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
