AULANDER, NC Annette Shores Blowe, age 78, passed away on June 1, 2016 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.
Mrs. Blowe was born in Hertford County, on March 20, 1938, a daughter of the late Garland and Katie Lassiter Shores. She was an active, faithful member of St. Johns Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 60 years, William Henry Blowe; her daughter, Sandy B. White and husband, Bennett of Winton, NC; two sons, Mike Blowe and wife, Bonnie of Winton, NC, and Tony Blowe of Richmond, VA; her granddaughters, Charli Stanley and husband, Brian, Christy Hawks, Heather Matthews and husband, Jeff, Elizabeth Blowe, and Amanda Harding and husband, Dusty; 3 great granddaughters and four great grandsons.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, and other times at the home.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett Sykes Funeral Service Ahoskie Chapel, with Rev. Woody Copeland and Rev. Jim Skipper, officiating. Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to St. Johns Baptist Church, C/O Lynn Vann, 143 Menola St. John Road, Ahoskie, NC, 27910.
