I am sorry for your loss, I hope you can find comfort in these thoughts.

Psalm  83:18-  May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Psalms  48:1- Jehovah is great and most worthy of praise In the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.
2 Corinthains 3,4

3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.

I was Betsy’s room mate during my recovery and rehab in Oct 2016. We were both delighted to learn we had quite a lot in common. I liked to sleep with a fan on, so did she. I liked to watch Food Network, so did she. We liked to talk about Scotland Neck years ago when it was a busy little town on Saturdays and people actually walked up and down Main Street going in and out of store after store. We both cried the day I came home. She was a mighty sweet lady. I’m enjoyed her company. I’m glad I got to meet her.

I remember Betsy with fond memories. As a senior at Hobgood Academy back in 1975/76 of my classes was helping her in her kindergarten class room. She was an excellent teacher and friend. Our prayers are with her family.

Morris and Betsy’s family,

she was one of the sweetest people I have ever known and one of the best teachers that Hobgood Academy or any other school could have ever had; great patience, funny, laughing and always wonderful with my kids as well as all the others that attended Hobgood. She will be thought of often and missed as a friend. God bless you all.

So very sorry for your loss. My senior year at Hobgood Academy I helped her in the kindergarten class and she was dearly loved by her students, and I enjoyed being there with her. Later had the pleasure of meeting her mom and continued seeing Miss Betsy working in the medical field. Always friendly and caring. May she rest in peace.
