BROWNTOWN, VA – Betty Sue Edmonds, age 73, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 9, 2015, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Edmonds was born April 19, 1941 to the late Thomas Conner and Mildred Dorothy Harrell in Roxobel, NC. She loved doing jig saw puzzles, working with crafts, and gambling. Betty was a homemaker that was always there to take care of her family, however she enjoyed her fishing trips with her brother. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James T. Edmonds of the home, four daughters; Donna Wiggins and husband, Bobby of Warsaw, VA, Patricia Terrazas and husband, Eric of Virginia Beach, VA, Tammy Gruenewald and husband, Hondo of Morrow, GA, and Shelby Wieck and husband, Dean of Browntown, VA, two brothers; Richard Conner of Virginia Beach, VA, and Wayne Conner and wife, Connie of McKinney, TX, a special aunt, Margaret Davis of Zebulon, NC, along with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Rich Square, NC.
A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Sunny Side Cemetery, Scotland Neck, NC, with Dr. Allen Cherry officiating.
