Bobbie Keel Edwards, age 69, of Raleigh, passed away on January 21, 2015 at the Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
She was born on August 29, 1945 to Roger and Blanche Keel. Bobbie worked as a Computer Test Analyst for Occidental Life Ins. Co. for over forty years. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, and loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband Ellis of the home, three sisters, Sarah K. Ivey and her husband Billy of Rich Square, NC, Bettie K. Sorie and her husband George of Merritt Island, FL, Jo Anne K. Jones and her husband Cecil of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Eddie M. Keel and his wife Joan of Elliott City, MD, Roger “Pete” C. Keel and his wife Melinda of Conover, NC, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2015, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Rich Square Chapel, Rich Square, NC.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Rich Square Baptist Church, Rich Square, NC, with the Reverend Bob Rogers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square, NC.
