WOODLAND, NC – Brandon Corey Bland, Sr., age 24, of Appletree Street, passed away unexpectantly on Friday, July 1, 2022 while visiting family in Suffolk, Virginia.
Brandon was born on October 2, 1997 to Brian and Alisa Bland in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He worked as a construction worker under his father. He deeply enjoyed hunting, fishing, and marksmanship with his brother, along with riding four wheelers and dirt bikes. Brandon loved his family, especially his son “Quarter Pint” and enjoyed spending time with them. He is gone way to soon and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Elizabeth Amara Bland, his maternal grandparents, Roy and Bobbie Byrum, and his paternal grandparents, Barry and Deborah Baggett.
Along with his parents, Brandon is survived by his son, Brandon “Quarter Pint” Bland, Jr. of Woodland; grandfather, Joseph Bland; sister, Harley Whitehead and husband Joseph of Rocky Mount; brother, Brian Corey Bland, Jr. of Ahoskie; two nieces, Alysa Nicole Whitehead, and Piper Whitehead, both of Rocky Mount; nephew, Jonathan Whitehead of Rocky Mount, his best friend, Brandon Jones, numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC 27910

I knew Brandon and Quarterpint briefly. My granddaughter Brianna Dunn introduced us a couple years ago. My prayers are with the family. Its hard to lose a loved one but its even harder when that loved one is your child. May God bless and keep you.

Brandon will be remembered as the polite, kind and caring person he was. He loved you all of his family and he was a really good Dad to his little boy, “Quarter Pint”.
