Mrs. Callie Mobley Hatcher, age 87 died at the Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Mrs. Hatcher was a native of Duplin County. She was married to the late Robert Henry Hatcher in 1941. Born to them were six wonderful children. During the late 50’s they moved their family to Hertford County. Mrs. Hatcher worked for many years with Mylcraft Manufacturing and later with Don’s Manufacturing.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Robert Henry Hatcher, mother and father, Nancy Lanier Mobley and Perry Mobley, two sisters; Mary M. Mobley and Adell M. Lanier along with four brothers; Woodrow, Alton, Ervin and Hallie Mobley.
Survivors include four daughters; Shirley H. Walker and her husband Clifton of Conway, Linda H. Mizelle of Wilson, Etheleen H. Lassiter and her husband Danny of Conway, Shelby H. Cottle and her husband Terry of Colerain, two sons; James R. Hatcher and his wife Cathy of Milwalkee and Donald R. Hatcher and his wife Trudy of Creeksville, two sisters; Dallie M. Maready of Penderlea and Gaynell M. Hunter and her husband Chester of Wallace, two brothers; George W. Mobley and his wife Ommie of Chinquapin and Perry E. Mobley and his wife Doris also of Chinquapin. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
My thoughts and Prayers have been and will continue to be with you all. Aunt Calie was a very special lady and will be deeply missed. Thanks to each of you for caring for my granddparents the way you always have. They will miss her very much.
