WOODLAND- Cedric Larry Cooke, age 83, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC.
Cedric was born on April 28, 1937 in Hertford County, North Carolina, to the late Claude Ralph Cooke and Vannie Blowe Cooke. He was a truck driver for E.B. Lassiter Lumber Company in Potecasi and retired from NCDOT. He loved playing softball with the Potescasi Possum and Mooring Woodworkers teams. Cedric was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, Cedric was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan C. Joyner; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Cooke and Virginia C. Pearce.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Louise V. Cooke; his daughter Betsy C. Davis and husband Phil; grandchildren Jarrett Parker and wife Amy, Ashley Parker, Ryan Davis and Dale Davis, four great-grandchildren Aliah Parker, Destiny Woodley, Wade Parker and Dottie Parker, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family celebration of life graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020, at the Potecasi Baptist Church Cemetery, Potecasi, NC, with Gattis Hodges speaking.

GONE TOO SOON
Imagine my shock of hearing of the untimely demise of Elizabeth. She was a loving friend who did not judge. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. My prayer is that GOD will comfort and strengthen her family and friends as we learn to go on without her.
