Charles Lee Rives, 85, died Sunday, January 3, 2010.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield. The Reverend Bruce Peacock and the Reverend Daniel Peede will be presiding.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was also a retired farmer in Halifax County.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Smith Rives.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Holdford and husband Judge of Halifax and Donna Gupton and husband Ed of Enfield; son, Jimmy Rives and wife Marie of Enfield; sister, Vanna Lou Rives Adkins of Enfield; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
