MURFREESBORO- Christopher Hans “Tank” Vinson, age 58, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC
Chris was born on February 21, 1962 to Calvin Christopher Vinson and Irene Bruchlos Vinson in Ahoskie, North Carolina. He enjoyed driving his 18-wheel truck across the country, and always had his favorite riding partner, Bart along for the ride. Chris also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved his family, especially his fur baby, Bandit, and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepmother, Elva Ann Vinson.
Chris is survived by his, brother, Tadeus “Tad” Vinson and girlfriend Debbie of Murfreesboro; stepmother, Linda Vinson of Murfreesboro; step-brother, Ralph Cherry and wife Rebecca of Milwaukee; two nieces, Kaitlyn Vinson of Conway, and Stephanie Ferguson and husband Stewart of Conway; two nephews, Michael Christopher Vinson and wife Lyndsay of Remington, VA, and Douglas Cherry and wife Destiny of McDonough, GA; along with many friends.
The family will have a celebration of life memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Meherrin Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev. John Porter, officiating.

I NEVER SAW CHRIS THAT HE DID NOT ASK ABOUT OUR FAMILY, HE WAS A KIND AND CARING PERSON. “OUR LILEE” LOVED THESE TWO BOYS AND WE LOVED HER! TAD HANG ON TO THE MEMORIES OF YOUR YOUTH. Prayers for the Family! Great memories with Chris when were in our teens! Saw him at the watermelon festival a few years ago, same Chris I remember from those days! Glory be to God, we will all meet again! BELIEVE!
