Clara Mae Davis Harris, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, in Windsor, North Carolina. She was born on January 17, 1933, in Ahoskie, North Carolina. Clara was 90 years old at the time of her passing.

Clara dedicated many years of her life as a sales associate at Roses store, where she served the community with warmth and kindness. Her strong work ethic and friendly nature made her a cherished member of the team. Outside of work, Clara found joy in her passions. She had an immense love for her dogs, and cooking. As long as her health permitted, she would lovingly prepare three meals a day, showcasing her culinary skills and nurturing those around her. Always top priority was her love for her grandchildren, they were the apples of her eye. Clara Mae Davis Harris will forever be remembered for her dedication to her family, her warm heart, and her love of cooking. May she rest in eternal peace.

Clara’s memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Cindy Harris Lewis of Greenville, NC; granddaughter, Shanna Lewis of Dothan, AL; great-grandchildren, Brick, Collin, and Kaitlyn Peace; and her special cousins, Donald and Ann Hunter.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry O. Davis, her mother, Mary Ethel Davis, and her spouse, Robert Earl Harris.

Oh Cindy so very sorry to hear this. I totally remember Aunt Clara. She was a spiffy dresser, always on top of her game. I have such fond memories of her and Uncle Bobby in Conway. My love to you and your family. I have a church commitment on Saturday that will keep me from coming. Prayers to all. Beth Harris Godwin, Winston Salen NC
