Dallas Moore Turner, 86, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The Reverend Ricky Sorie will be presiding.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
Dallas was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was born in Scotland Neck on October 15, 1929 to the late Frank and Lizzie Hargrove Moore. Dallas worked over 40 years for the Nash-Rocky Mount School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Turner, Sr.; her ten brothers, Ashby, Lynn, Benjamin, Jesse, Will, Bud, Tom, Ed, Harry, and Oscar Moore; and her four sisters, Louella Judge, Mary Edness Rufty, Virginia Moore, and Christine Moore.
Dallas is survived by her son, James Earl Turner, Jr. of Rocky Mount; her special nieces, Carol Moore of Scotland Neck, Betty Keith and husband Jeff of Garner, Casey Pilgreen and fiancé Trey Garris and son, Hayes, of Whitakers, Jodi Parker and fiancé James Faircloth of Raleigh, and Lydia Bone and husband John and son, Andrew, and daughter, Grace, of Rocky Mount; her sister-in-law, Shirley Moore of Greenville; and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
