Daniel Elisha Day

Daniel Elisha Day, age 37, of Scotland Neck, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.

He was born on January 6, 1986 to Douglas and Marian Baltimore “Day” in Jeffersonville, GA. Daniel joined the Army in 2005 and was deployed to Iraq on two separated occasions, serving a total of two years. He was also deployed to Kuwait and Korea. Daniel loved his kids greatly, as they were the center of his universe. He loved home schooling his kids and teaching them about God. Daniel loved a challenge when it came to figuring out how something works and felt that knowledge was power. His creative nature enriched the lives of his loved ones, infusing their family time with joyous moments. Above all, Daniel held strong to his faith, which cultivated a loving and compassionate home for his wife and children.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Tatum Day; his daughter, Danielle Day of Scotland Neck; his sons, Jordan Day of Scotland Neck and Luca-Riley Day of Twentynine Palms, CA; his mother, Marian Baltimore, his father, Douglas Day, Sr., and his stepfather Eugene Baltimore all of Jeffersonville, GA; his sister, Christina Crego of Port Richey, FL; and his brother, Douglas Day, Jr. of Jeffersonville, GA.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Letchworth Chapel in Scotland Neck, with Pastor Louis Smith officiating.
