Daniel Irving Harrell, Sr., age 80, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away on November 27, 2020 at the Scotland House in Scotland Neck, NC.

Danny was born on October 20, 1940 to Gordon and Bula Pledger Harrell in Jackson, NC. He worked as a Supervisor and a Banbury operator at Fulflex in Scotland Neck for twenty-five plus years until he retired. When he lived in Scotland Neck, he was an active member of Dawson Baptist Church. Danny loved working in his yard, having a garden, but was most content walking around enjoying what God created.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gene Harrell and two baby brothers.

Danny is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie Harrell Wommack and her husband Gary of Lynn Haven, FL; a son Daniel “Jr” Irving Harrell Jr. and his fiance Gloria Dodson of Scotland Neck; three grandsons, David Wommack, Joey Wommack and his wife Rachel, Matthew Wommack and his wife Meredith; a great-granddaughter Hadley Wommack; a great-grandson Jonah Wommack; a sister Mary “Sissy” Piland and her husband Calvin and a brother Chester Harrell and his wife Janet.

A celebration of life graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck.

He was a very nice man.I truly enjoyed talking to him whrn he woukd be walking aaround the Victory Praise and Worship yard..we haf some good converstions about the Lord.

We sat in front of Danny for about 4 years at Dawson before he moved to Florida and at 11am he would always say,”let’s get this show on the road”. My wife and I still remember those words every Sunday morning before service starts. He was good people and we will always remember him. Condolences to his family.
