When I was younger Allen cut out grass. He NEVER wore shoes. His feet would be a dark shade of green. It was hilarious, just like him! U will be missed so much by so many!

I’ve only known Allen over the past 10 years but the one thing I knew from the very beginning was how much he loved Josh and his grandbabies. Sometimes I went around and he didn’t talk a lot and sometimes I went around and he would talk and talk. I remember staying one night at his house with Josh and Jessica, that night in particular I ended up staying up almost all night caused Allen talked and talked. He told me all about his past memories and having Josh. Of course there was things he wasn’t proud of but Josh was the one thing he WAS proud of. He might not like everything Josh was doing (we all go through that as teenagers) but he loved that boy with everything in him. My heart is broken, Josh feels like a brother to me and I know there is nothing I or anyone can do or say to make this better. I am praying for comfort for everyone and know that I’m just a phone call or message away.

On 9-8-92 I gave birth to a fine son in this world that takes after his daddy Allen Davenport in so many ways. This is a chapter of my life I’m not ready to close so until we meet again my love fly high!!!

I’m saddened to hear of Allen’s passing. We had just recently spoke to each other at Dale’s funeral. We had many laughs over the years and caught a lot of fish together. I have so many memories of our coming of age and our many adventures of “riding the horn” and listening to loud music.
Rest in peace my friend.

Allen you are going to be missed. I remember all the good times with you and Greg when I lived beside Greg. You would always come over to the house and talk and just chill outside with us. You where always such a good guy with a heart of gold. Going to Hobgood will not be the same now and I know you will be missed by so many people. Fly high my friend until we all see you again.
