Debbie Bird age 52 of Anderson,IN, formerly of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at St. John‚??s Hospital in Indiana. She was born May 9, 1956 in Woodland,North Carolina.

She was employed by St. John‚??s Hospital,IN as a Home Health Physical Therapist, she was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, she was in the first graduating class at Ridgecroft and was class Valedictorian.She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mom and grandmama.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 5 to 7:00 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson,IN.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Murfreesboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.Rev. Lee Canipe and Rev. Tom Caulkins will officiate.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 30 years, Tom Bird of Anderson,IN; daughter Elizabeth Bird Ross and her husband Adam of Florence,SC; a son Joey Bird of Inianapolis,IN; a grandson Connor Ross of Florence,SC; and her father Joe Dickerson of Murfreesboro,NC.

She was preceded in death by her mother Eyssel Dickerson.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Murfreesboro Baptist Church.

Tommy, I’m so sorry to hear of Debbie’s passing. I know this is the most difficult experience you and your children have ever had to go through. No words can give much comfort, but time will help. I’m sure you and Debbie had a wonderful life together; hold on to the memories.

I was so sorry to hear of Debbie’s death. You have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I have so many wonderful memories of our high school years. She was a great friend!
