Doris Jean “D. J.” Taylor

AHOSKIE, NC – Doris Jean Taylor, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her home.

She was born on September 22, 1982 in Virginia. D.J. cherished her family, especially her daughters. She was devoted to taking care of her family, and in making her house a loving home. She was very creative and was always creating things for decorating her home. D. J. was a very giving person, going out of her way to help others in need, putting herself and her needs behind others. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

D.J. is survived by her beloved husband, James, daughters, Brooke Taylor of Ahoskie, Deidre Molton of Richmond, VA, and Allison Clinton of Ahoskie; a brother, Caleb Dupree of CA; her mother-in-law, Joy Williams, and husband Ricky of Ahoskie; her father-in-law, Fletcher Taylor, and wife Cynthia of Elizabeth City, NC; along with many friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022, 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Ray Faircloth, Sr. officiating.
