Edith Manning Harrell, 62, died Friday, November 30, 2012.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Merritts Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oak City. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery. Pastor Larry Lilley will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Manning; her sister, Margaret Sutton; and her brother, David Manning.
She is survived by her husband, Alton E. Harrell; her daughters, Sally Harrell Damren and husband Mark of Robersonville and Debbie Sue Harrell of Oak City; her sisters, Dorothy Scott and husband Edgar of Tarboro and Sue Bullock and Thomas Fields of Conetoe; her brothers, Tony Manning and wife Marie of Oak City, John Wayne Manning and wife Delores of Washington, Clifton “Duck” Manning of Greenville, and James Earl Stalls and wife Katie of Bethel; five grandchildren, Daniel Damren, Tiffani Damren, Timmy Everette, Hillary Harrison, and Keith Harrison, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Dalton Moore.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Merritts Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 154, Oak City, NC 27857.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
