AHOSKIE, NC – Edna Earl Roberson, age 85, of Arrow Road, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville, NC.

Mrs. Roberson was born on August 12, 1935 to Fred and Annie Leggett Cox in Washington, NC. Edna married the love of her life, William Harold Roberson, and to this marriage was born three daughters. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna enjoyed gardening, quilting, and cooking. She had to do things to keep her hands busy. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William Harold Roberson, and a daughter, Bonnie Elizabeth Dilday.

Edna is survived by two daughters, Cindy Dunn and husband Donald of Winterville, NC, and Terry Pierce of Ahoskie, NC; two granddaughters, Shannon Satterwhite and husband David of Oxford, NC, and Jessi Cullipher and husband Gary of Eure, NC; two grandsons, Billy Leary and wife Pam of Tyner, NC, and Josh Adams and wife Suzanne of Ahoskie, NC; a brother, William Cox and wife Marilyn of Fayetteville, NC; and 11 great-grandchildren; Abraham, Samara, Rueben, McKenzie, Ashlynn, Courtney, Emalie, Camille, Faith, Charlotte, and Maggie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC, with grandson, Pastor Billy Leary, officiating.

Cindy and Terry,
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Always considered her as one of my “other moms” in my life. We had some good times growing up in the neighborhood. Keep those memories in your heart and know we always love you.

Terry, Cindy and family I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I thought the world of Ms Edna, she was a special lady. I spent many nights and days there as a teenager. Those days were the best of times. Thoughts and prayers for peace during this difficult time.

I have so many memories running in and out of your home your Mom with her kind and gentle smile and so uniquely could have that same smile when letting you know your bout to get it. Lol.
