Edna Lucille Strickland Brown, 77, died Sunday, May 1, 2011.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Oak City Cemetery. The Reverend Morgan Daughety will be presiding.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, David Brown; and her brother, William Strickland.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara B. Smith and husband Ronnie of Washington, Joann B. White and husband David of Eure, and Vickie B. Jenkins and husband Ricky of Robersonville; son, Carroll “Buddy” Brown and wife Ginny of Conetoe; sisters, Ruby Briley and husband Robert of Bethel and Irene Whitehurst and husband Bobby of Robersonville; brother, Ben Strickland and wife Alice of Clayton; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Oak City Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 310 West Commerce Street, Oak City, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oak City Christian Church, P.O. Box 9, Oak City, NC 27857.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
