May God comfort each of the Brett family members with the Scriptures, the work of God’s Spirit, and the love of people. Mr. Buddy was a wonderful Christian man I always admired and appreciated, having known him all of my life even though I have been gone from Murfreesboro since 1969. I was glad to learn of his military duty during the Korean War.

Joyce, Jerry, Deborah, Wanda and other family members,
I just saw that Buddy passed away and condolences for you all and prayers in your grief. We all spent so much time together in one way or another at church, sports, the store. Each time I came home since the mid-70’s and ran into Buddy, he always wanted to know how I was doing and what I was up to those days, be it in the military or whatever. I have many fond memories of Joyce and Buddy hosting a multiple year class reunion of MHS in your backyard in 1980, just before I left to enter the Marine Corps. It meant so much to me, Joyce, that Buddy and you did this not knowing where fate would take during the Iran hostage crisis. To Jerry, Deborah, and Wanda…I’ve known you all for so many years growing up, playind sports with Jerry, and coaching Wanda. You all had a wonderful Dad. My condolences to you all.
