Elizabeth “Beth” Suzanne Hux Waldrop

Elizabeth “Beth” Suzanne Hux Waldrop, age 35, of Enfield, NC passed away tragically on Monday, January 11, 2021.

Beth was born on April 8, 1985 to Ronald and Laura Hux of Enfield. In her early years, Beth enjoyed playing soccer. She attended Rocky Mount High School and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. As an adult, Beth worked in sales at Lowe’s Home Improvement and several other businesses. She loved to take her kids to the Skyview Skating Rink to skate. She enjoyed all types of animals especially horses. Beth was a natural caregiver, providing aid to several ladies in the area. She loved cooking and country music. Beth’s death is a tragic loss to her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence Edward and Laura Fleming Hux; her grandmother, Opal Cobb Keeter; and her grandfather, Cicero Nethery.

Beth is survived by her parents; two sons, James Allen Jordan, Jr. and Michael Cole Jordan both of Enfield; a daughter, Suzanne Hayes Jordan of Enfield; three brothers, Ronald Hux, Jr. of Morehead City, Matthew Hux of Castalia, and Tyler Hux of Rocky Mount; and the father of her children, Allen Jordan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck.  A celebration of life graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield, with Rev. Paul Spradley officiating.
