MURFREESBORO, NC – Elizabeth Lynn Colombo Futrell, age 48, passed away on June 10, 2018 at the Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital of Richmond, VA.
Liz was born on June 24, 1969 to Patricia and Peter Colombo in Cornwall, New York. Liz graduated from Cornwall Central High School in Orange County New York. She was very outgoing, had a strong personality and enjoyed talking with people. Liz was a life coach against teenage suicide. She was there to help anyone in need. Liz was loved by many and will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Dianne Futrell, and her beloved grandparents who helped raise her in her early childhood, Victor and Betty Konkol.
Liz is survived by her loving husband “Rob”, her parents, mother-in-law, Dianne Futrell, father-in-law, Robert M. Futrell, Sr., of Murfreesboro and her brother, Eric Colombo of New Windsor, NY.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Ross officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
