AHOSKIE, NC – Eloise Rountree Miller, 88, of Ahoskie, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 22, 1932 in Harrellsville, NC to parents Aubrey and Lucille Rountree. She was the wife of the late Royce W. Miller and the beloved mother of three daughters, Linda M. Lucas and husband William of Virginia Beach, VA, Sheree M. Parrish and husband Roy of Morristown, TN, and Tammy M. Ortiz and husband Jose’ of Ahoskie, NC.
Eloise loved her family dearly and cherished each moment with them. She enjoyed cooking for her family, bird-watching, music, yardwork, and was an excellent seamstress. She was dedicated to serving others and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie.
Others left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren Christina Albert, Laura Robidoux, April Downs, Kristen Henry, Zack Parrish, Eric Ortiz, and Kalyssa Ortiz; great-grandchildren McKenna, Bayleigh, Kinsey, Harper, and Isaac; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Janice Crawford, Leon Rountree, and Diane George.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie, NC with Rev. Dr. Jesse Croom officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
