Ethel Aleene Boone age 73 of Rich Square passed away on September 5, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
She was born on December 15, 1944 to the late Horace and Ethel Vick. She was married to Robert W. Boone, Sr. on August 27, 1966. Aleene attended the Rehoboth United Methodist Church for many years. She retired as a manager for the ABC stores. Aleene loved to bake, especially chocolate pies. In her younger years she enjoyed spending time with her grandmother, Rennie Vick. Aleene loved her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Boone, Sr. of the home, son Robert W. Boone, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, three sisters, Edith V. Wallace of Scotland Neck, Nancy V. Smith and her husband Troy of Rich Square and Wanda V. Johnson and her husband Jerry of Roxobel, two grandsons, Avery G. and Aaron E. Boone of Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service of Rich Square.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2 pm at the Rehoboth United Methodist Church with the burial following at the Peele-Vick Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Crowder.
