My deepest condolences to the family! Ms Shealy was one of the sweetest and thoughtful ladies a person could ever know! I always enjoyed her phone calls to the 911 center to tell me she had a plate of goodies for us and not to mention her birthday cakes! My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow.

Ethel was my husband Jonathan’s aunt. (His mom was her sister, Bertha)
Jonathan told me that she never missed sending him a card for his birthday! She was always sending cards and even made sure we all had a small gift to open from her at Christmas. We stopped by her house on our way to a vacation destination one year – just to say hello- and we were met with a lunch spread fit for a king! She was a very special lady, and it was an honor to know and love her.

Oh, if we could all be like Ethel. How many of us have experienced the blessings of her food, her holding our babies, visiting the shut-ins, taking care of her neighbors, being a part of her beloved community by supporting the police, fire department and EMS, always there to help when needed. Our town lost a valued citizen and friend in her passing. May we all try to be a better person with Ethel as our example. May God bless all those who loved her and let our motto be in her honor, Let me be more like Ethel.
