Evelyn Robbins Hall, 96, of Rich Square, NC, passed on to be with Jesus on February 2, 2021 at Pine Forest Rest Home. She was born October 7, 1924, to Robert and Alma Robbins. She graduated from Rich Square High School in 1941, and she enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates. She particularly looked forward to each class reunion.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynwood Hall; sisters; Margaret Gerbing, Esther Pittman, and Janie Burgess; and brothers; Wilson Robbins, Eugene Robbins, and Haywood Robbins.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Donnie Hall and wife Carol; grandchildren Daniel Hall (Christi) and Caroline Jones (Brian); and great-grandchildren; Jordyn Hall, Garrett Hall, Brooks Hall, Brogan Jones and Camden Jones. She is also survived by a loving, caring brother, Willie Robbins, and several nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She loved and cherished her family and was always interested in their activities and was so proud of all their accomplishments.

Evelyn loved Rich Square Baptist Church and volunteering with the Flower Calendar ministry there. She also got a lot of enjoyment encouraging and helping others through her greeting cards ministry and her pecan and lemon pie ministry. It was an everyday thing for her to care about other people and try to do things that made life easier for them.

Evelyn worked at Mylcraft Mfg. for many years and she made many good friends there. Some of those dear friends remained in touch with her after her retirement.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Pastor Bob Rogers for the many years of his faithful ministry to Evelyn and her family; to Dr. Michael Alston for many years of excellent medical care; and to the Staff and Management of Pine Forest Rest Home for taking such loving care of her in recent years.

Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the public is welcome to visit Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square to sign the register and pay their respects on Friday, February 5, 2021 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Masks will be requested, and social distancing will be expected.

My mother, Mildred Parker, loved Ms. Evelyn Hall and also spoke highly of her. I used to see your mom sometimes when I visited Mom in Rich Square. I just found out today that she is deceased. I was getting ready to send her a Christmas card & looked online to see if the address was the same & the obit came up. She was a wonderful lady.

Donnie so sorry to learn of Miss Evelyn’s passing – but I know that she is in heaven rejoicing with all her loved ones. I always knew when I was my Mom (Geraldine Tucker) and she said that she wanted to ride to Rich Square that meant we were probably going to see Miss Evelyn. I loved being with those two wonderful ladies – they represented an era that most have been wonderful. Their lives were centered around God and family. Love to you and your family

Miss Evelyn was one of my mom’s best friends & they stayed in touch with one another all through the many years until my mom passed away. I will sorely miss Miss Evelyn as she was always one of my favorite people. When my Aunt Agnes was living, Miss Evelyn always remembered her especially after she was moved to Guardian Care & was so faithful in sending her cards. I appreciated her so much for being such a good friend to both my aunt & my mom & loved her dearly. And Donnie, you were such a good & faithful son to her & I know your love for her will live in your heart forever. Love to you & your family, Brenda

Aunt Ebba will truly be missed. She was a woman of God and loved by so many. She blessed me with her love and her delicious lemon pies on my birthday. My prayers for Donnie and family and Uncle Willie and all those who were so blessed to have her in your life.
