Faye Jenkins Hyman, 79, died Monday, January 11, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Letchworth Funeral Home Chapel in Scotland Neck. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The Reverend Doctor Darren Lambert will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Faye was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She operated a day care in Scotland Neck for many years and cared deeply for all the children she watched over.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Hyman.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky H. Stallings and husband Tony of Littleton; her son, James Keith Hyman and wife Genie of Dallas; her sisters, Ann Hyman and husband J.R. of Tarboro, Pat Harrell and husband Lee of Weldon, and Brenda Baird and husband Reggie of Roanoke Rapids; her brothers, Gene Jenkins of Scotland Neck and Robert Jenkins and wife Hitomi of Japan; seven grandchildren, Nicki Thomas, Misty Allsbrook Cobb, Ward Allsbrook, Sherri Lastinger, Leanne Hyman, Josh Hyman, and Lily Hyman; and nine great-grandchildren, Ross Thomas, Logan Thomas, Camryn Thomas, Megan Allsbrook, Blake Allsbrook, Bailey Lastinger, Kaylum Lopez, Marrisadiah Crocker, and A.J. Hyman.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
