Florence Elaine Taylor Dunn, age 79, of Enfield, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Elaine was born in Littleton, NC to the late Linwood A. Taylor and Hettie Daniel Taylor. A native of Enfield, Elaine earned her Cosmetology License in 1961 and was a Beautician at several different beauty shops before becoming the sole proprietor of Lane’s Beauty Shop in Enfield. She enjoyed trips to the coast with her husband, Fritz and trips to White Lake with her sister Nancy’s family. Elaine also enjoyed her special outings with her sister, Viola. She loved her family greatly, especially her son, Frederick, and her grandson, Landen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick “Fritz” Mason Dunn; her brothers, Michael Taylor and Earl Taylor; and her sister, Nancy Davis.
Elaine is survived by her beloved son, Frederick Dunn and his fiancé, Jill Hyman; her grandson, Landen Wyatt Dunn; her sister, Viola Taylor Roberson; her brother, Donnie Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Whitaker’s Chapel Cemetery in Enfield, with Rev. Alvin Davis presiding.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
