FREDERICK ELVIN KING
HERTFORD – Frederick Elvin King, age 78, of Bear Swamp Road, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
Mr. King was born on November 18, 1932, in Edgecombe County, a son of the late Jeff and Nannie King. He retired from the Navy with over 20 years service and worked at Seabrook Peanut Company in Edenton for over 15 years.
Left to cherish his memory are cousins, Annie Castelloe of Ahoskie, Alice Bazemore of Ahoskie, Rob Ray King of Chesapeake, VA, Howard King of Gretna, VA, Susan Buck of Ahoskie, Gail Miller of Ahoskie, Janice Hughes of Perrytown, Roy Earl Swain of Ahoskie, and L.B. Swain of Sans Souci.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Stoney Creek cemetery. Donations may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness, Susan G. Komen For The Cure, 1106 Burke Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.

So sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. He was mom’s companion for so many years. Treasure those memories you have made with him. I can’t believe it has been so many years since mom has been gone…but I carry her with her everywhere I go…and she lives in me. Take Care and God Bless…
Sorry about Fred’s passing. He will be greatly missed by his friends at Mcdonald’s in Edenton,where we gathered regularly. You will be in our thoughts and prayers in this time of grief.
