Sorry for the families loss. He was a good man and a dear friend to my dad Jerome. I have found memories of him far back as a small child. He will truly be missed
Mr. Dewey is in my memory from young teenage years to recent years. Always a smile and kind word on his lips. A life well-lived. His reward well-deserved. He will be missed.
Dewey was such a gracious and kind person and it was always a joy to visit with Dewey and Mrs. Phillips on numerous occasions in Walter’s Grill and other locations in town. Murfreesboro lost one of its great citizens in the passing of Dewey as he will be missed not only by his family but by his many friends.
I only talked to Mr. Dewey on coupla occasions. Mostly, after he brought Edwin Forbes back from their fishing trips. Such a true southern gentleman. Prayers to the family.

I remember cutting grass in the trailer park and spending countless hours hanging around with Laverne at Phillips Drainage in the mid ‘70’s. I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Rest easy Mr. & Mrs. Phillips, Don and Laverne.
