Left to cherish his memory are his three nephews, Bruce Wright and wife, Judy of Plymouth, NC, Bertram L. Davenport, and Haywood  Davenport and wife, Nancy all of Columbia, NC; and two nieces, Xylda W. Gee and husband, John of Elon, NC, and  Lelia A. Davenport and husband, Herb Rodell of Cary, NC;  along with many great and great great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016,  at 3:00 pm, at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, with the Rev.
