Hazel Lassiter Morgan, age 69, of Ahoskie, passed away on April 12, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on October 27, 1945 to Marvin Clarence and Ruby Dare Cooke Lassiter in Hertford County, NC. Hazel was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Lee Morgan; and her brothers, Beecher, William Abner and Kenith Lassiter.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Lynn Nowell and husband Robert of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her grandson, Steven Nowell of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her sister, Louise Cox of Aulander, NC; and her brother, Carroll Lassiter of Ahoskie, NC.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Taylor Latham, officiating, with burial to follow at Job Cemetery, Aulander, NC.
