Heather Lynne Wilson, age 31, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Miss Wilson was born in Hertford County on August 22, 1981, the daughter of Pamela Batts and Terry Alan Wilson. Heather was a graduate of Hertford County High School and Chowan University, where she studied Studio Arts. Heather was a talented artist and fashion designer, and loved to cook with her mother.

Besides her parents, Heather is survived by her brother, Michael Wilson and wife, Beth, and their children, Andrew, Ayden, and Micheala of Ahoskie, NC; paternal grandparents, Ruth and Norvin Garrett of Harrellsville, NC; her aunts, Brenda Cote of Murfreesboro, NC, Dail Davis of Rocky Mount, NC, and Holley Knowles of Windsor, NC; uncle, Steve Wilson of Clayton, NC; and great uncle, Wayne Davidson.

The family will receive friends at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service of Ahoskie on Friday, April 5, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and other times at the home of Pam and Terry Wilson. A celebration of life service will be conducted in the chapel of Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
