AULANDER, NC- J.D. Outlaw, age 74, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was a native of Duplin County. He was born to the late Gordon and Rosa Garris Outlaw on December 4, 1939. J.D. was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was passionate about landscaping and mowing grass, always wanted the yards he took care of to look the best they could.
J.D. is preceded in death by his parents and left to cherish his memory are his wife Evelyn ‘Diane’ Ainsley Outlaw, four sons; Roy Ball, Jr. and his wife Cecelia of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Richard Ball and his wife Rhonda of Powellsville, NC, Ryan Ball and his wife Crystal of Windsor, NC and Tim Odom of Aulander, NC, one sister, Elizabeth Goff of Kinston, NC, one brother Bryce and his wife Frances Outlaw of Kinston, NC, eight grandchildren; Makayla, Linsey, Haley, Brandon, Savannah, Cadence and Adam Ball.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grave Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church.
