James Ricky Williams, 65, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his home in Oak City.
Ricky was born on December 26, 1952 in Martin County, NC to Delmas Darrell Williams and Dorothy Priscilla Biggs Williams. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Ricky will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He worked for East Carolina Outfitters and Roanoke Outfitters for many years and loved the outdoors. Ricky also worked as a local trapper and hunting guide until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmas Darrell Williams.
Ricky is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Connie Latham Williams; his daughter, Shannon Dawn Williams and significant other Chelsea Baines of Rocky Mount; his son, James Travis Williams and wife Nikki of Oak City; his mother, Dorothy Williams of Robersonville; his sister, Anna Williams Manning and husband Ronnie of Robersonville; his brother, Darrell Lee Williams and wife Carolyn of Robersonville; his grandchildren, Jamey Williams and Christine Mackenzie Williams; his special nieces, Suzanne Williams Holland and Heather Williams Knox; his special nephews, Lee Bo Williams, Jordan Cannon, and Blake Cannon; and Stephanie and Skylar Scott.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Hassell Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery. The Reverend Marvin Wharf will be presiding.
