Janie Edmond Farmer, 83, died Thursday, September 29, 2011.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The Reverend Edward J. Conner, Jr. will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Janie was a loving wife, aunt, and friend to many. She worked at Rose’s Department Store in Scotland Neck for many years until her retirement.
Janie was the daughter of the late Henry Alonza and Carrie Carson Sutton and was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon D. Edmond and Robert C. Farmer; her sisters, Frances Armstrong, Carrie Elizabeth Sutton, and Edna Sutton; her brothers, Bonnie Sutton, Clayton Sutton, Elwood Sutton, Norman Sutton, and Ray Sutton; and her special dogs, Mollie and Snoopy.
She is survived by her step-grandchildren, Angela Harris of Halifax and Clyde Baisey, Jr. of Wilmington; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
