Mrs. Janie Lowe Hall Reynolds, age 87 died at the Brian Health Care Center in Windsor on Sunday, October 12, 2008. Mrs. Reynolds was a native of Hertford County and lived in Bertie County all of her married life. She was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church in Roxobel. She was a devoted choir member and a member of the Jr. Philathea Sunday School Class. She was married to the late Floyd Acree Hall in 1940 until his death in 1972 and to this thirty-two year marriage was born four daughters. Mrs. Reynolds was married to Benjamin Jordan Reynolds in 1976 and they were married for twenty-six years until his death in 2002. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed many hobbies some of which include, cooking, gardening and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Reynolds was a giving person whom will be missed by her friends and family very much. Preceding her in death other than her husbands, are her mother, Lottie Mae Harrell Lowe and her father, Richard Floyd Lowe, two sisters, Jessie Mae Sexton and Florence Spruill as well as her four brothers, Glynn, Woodrow, Hubert and Meredith Lowe.

Survivors include four daughters; Ramona H. Askew and her husband Rudy of Roper, Bettie H. Walston and her husband the late Lonnie Walston of Roxobel, Terry H. Robbins and her husband Bobby of Rich Square and Lori H. Harrell and her husband Rick of Windsor, two sisters; Thelma Gray Goodwin and her husband Edward of Edenton and Dorothy Horton and her husband Elliott of Suffolk, VA. Surviving are eight grandchildren; Dennis and Dean Askew, Julie Emory, Perry Walston, Jr., Robert Robbins, Casey Liverman, Leigh McGurk and Lance Harrell. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren.
