The interment will follow the service at Job Cemetery in Aulander. Rev. Taylor Latham and Rev. Sandy Outlaw will be officiating.

Mr. Jasper Davis ‘Jap’ Outlaw, age 74 died at the Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie on Thursday, September 25, 2008. Mr. Outlaw is a native of Hertford County. He joined the United States Army and served our country for a tour of two years. Jap was employed by Freemen Metal Products in Ahoskie for twenty-eight years. Jap loved hunting and was a member of the Millennium Hunting Club. Preceding him in death are his wife, Evelyn Jones Outlaw, his mother Hosanna Harrington Outlaw and father Jack Outlaw, one sister Carleen Jones and two brothers, Shirley and Jack Outlaw.

Survivors include one daughter, June Outlaw of Aulander, one son Jeff Outlaw and his wife Gwen of Greenville, one sister, Alma O. Peele and her husband Sonny of Ahoskie. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Earl Jones, II and Michelle Jones, two great grandchildren, Sadie Jones and Lawrence ‘Trey’ Hoes.

The family would like to extend a heart felt thanks to Melanie Jones for her love and support that she provided for Jap.
