AHOSKIE, NC – Jerome Pat Curcio, age 89, of Ahoskie died at his home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 8, 1928 to the late Nicholo and Santina Curcio in Enfield, CT. Mr. Curcio served with the U.S. Navy working as a welder for four years during World War II and served in the Korean War. Following his tour in service Mr. Curcio started driving trucks for the Teamsters until retirement. He enjoyed photography, videography, wood working and electronics. He loved traveling and visiting his family in Connecticut and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Santina Noto Curcio, his father, Nicholo Curcio, his first wife, Mary Cullifer Curcio, his sister, Marie C. Heck and his brother, Nicholo Curcio, Jr.
Jerome is survived by his wife Linda of the home, three brothers, Roy Curcio and his wife, Marie of Enfield, CT, Louie Curcio and his wife, Anna of West Palm Beach, FL, and Angelo Curcio of Sanford, FL, and a stepdaughter, Maria Lombardi of West Springfield, MA.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC.
A Celebration of Life Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 11:00 am at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC. Rev. Raleigh Johnson will be officiating the service.
