COLERAIN – Joseph James Lee, age 80, of Hwy 42, died Thursday, June 07, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Mr. Lee was born in Bertie County on June 5, 1932, a son of the late Jodie Winston and Gladys Miller Lee. He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and had retired as a farmer. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Byrum Lee; four sons, Don W. Lee and wife, Ann of Raleigh, NC, Leslie Lee and wife JoAnn of Aulander, NC, Tony Lee of Durham, NC, and Robbie Lee and wife, Michelle of Florida; a brother Darrell Lee of Ahoskie, NC; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at Mars Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.
