ENFIELD, NC – Joseph Randolph Viverette, Sr., age 80, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Nash UNC Healthcare in Rocky Mount.
Randolph was born on May 2, 1940 to Stanton and Ruby Andrews Viverette in Halifax County. He was a farmer at heart, raising row crops in the early years and produce in the latter years. He was a member of the Enfield Methodist Church. Randolph loved playing cards and watching the UNC Tarheels play basketball. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Randolph was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Stan, Steven, Don and Sammy Viverette, and a sister, Dorothy Viverette.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, two sons, Randy Viverette and his wife, Diane of Enfield and Chris Viverette and his wife, Cammie of Holly Springs; a daughter, Sharon Barnhill of Rocky Mount; a brother, Alvin Viverette and his wife Jeri of Nashville; five grandsons, Cody and Austin Barnhill, Tyler Viverette, David Viverette, Josh Viverette; two granddaughters, Kaylee Viverette and Laura Viverette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 2:00 pm at 510 Loop Road, Enfield, NC. Dr. Steve Bradley will be officiating the service.
