RICH SQUARE, NC – Kathleen Bell Plyler, age 97, passed away on July 30, 2018 at the Accordius Health Care of Gatesville, NC.
Mrs. Plyler was born on December 24, 1920 to Eldridge Stephen and Kate Prillaman Bell in Virginia. Kathleen was married to Joseph H. Plyler in 1945 and to this marriage born two children. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over sixty years. Kathleen was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church in Dunnsville and previously a member of the Fort Lee Baptist Church in Richmond. She was employed by the Trailways Bus Line until retired firstly as a information clerk and finally as a baggage clerk. Kathleen loved flower gardening and painting.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kate P. Bell and father, Eldridge Bell, husband, Joseph Harold Plyler, Jr., and two brothers, Leslie and Carson Bell.
Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Kay P. Baber and husband Bernard of Dunnsville, VA, Sherrie P. Bolton and husband Tom of Rich Square, NC; a sister Sylvia Moore, a brother, Steve Bell and wife Roseanne; three granddaughters, Susan Baber, Margaret Bolton Gibson and husband Philip, Katie Bolton Caldwell and husband Trey; grandson, Derek Baber. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 AM at the Ephesus Baptist Church in Dunnsville, VA with the with Rev. Larry Schools officiating.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Dennis and I are so sorry to hear about your loss. We enjoyed having her in our home to celebrate Thanksgiving. She was a sweet lady. Sherry you took such good care of her, trying to meet all of her needs. Our thoughts are with all of you.
