WINDSOR – Kathleen Miller Benthall, age 97, formerly of Ahoskie, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation in Windsor, NC.
Mrs. Benthall was born in Bertie County on September 20, 1914, a daughter of the late Sol and Levenia Jernigan Miller. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, Creech Memorial Baptist Church, and had attended Brantley‚??s Grove Baptist Church, prior to moving to Windsor. Kathleen was a sales clerk at the Fashion Shoe Store in Ahoskie for many years. She was the widow of Worth Bagley Benthall.
Mrs. Benthall leaves behind her son, Joe Benthall and his wife, Katie of Tampa, FL; a sister, Vivian Siegman of Buffalo, NY; and grandchildren, Joe Benthall, Jr., Jon Benthall, Kathy B. Brown, Lisa B. Garner, Allison B. Kieffer, Al Benthall, Jr., and Steven Benthall. Besides her parents and husband, Kathleen was predeceased by her son Al Benthall.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home, Ahoskie, on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

I remember many years ago going to see the airplane land at her home in Brantleys grove. My mom and dad owned Jenkins Grocery. very sweet lady. God bless you.
