Heather & Neal,
I’m certainly sorry for the loss of your mother. I remember her when I grew up in Ahoskie. She was a really sweet person. She and my older sister Terry were good friends and Kathy spent a lot of time at our house. Kathy and Terry got into lots of mischief! I know it’s hard to see our aging parents as carefree youth. It was so much fun having Kathy at our house. My Mom and Dad thought a lot of her.

I have so many wonderful memories of long talks with Kathy. She was a forever friend since 1985 and although we did not talk but every few months, it was if we never skipped a beat! I loved her dry sense of humor and her honesty. She loved Lauren and as a little girl , she treated her like her own. Kathy became friends with my Mom and my Aunt June and when she was recovering from hip surgery, they went to visit her in Windsor. She was a beautiful lady and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. RIP dear friend. love you always. Tammy
