GATESVILLE, NC – Laura Jean Harrell, 86, formerly of Ahoskie, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Accordius Healthcare of Gatesville, NC.
Laura was born on March 18, 1934 to the late Henry C. and Ima Joyner Harrell in Hertford County, North Carolina. She was one of nine children born to this union. Laura was a cashier for Roses for many years. She enjoyed reading and listening to country music. Laura was a loving sister and friend.
Laura is survived by her brother, Donald Harrell of Aulander, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Ahoskie Cemetery, Ahoskie, NC, with Pastor Doug Van Niel officiating. The Harrell family will meet at 1:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC to follow in procession to Ahoskie Cemetery.
