AHOSKIE, NC – Leslie Paul Calemine, age 64, passed away on July 14, 2017 at the Vidant Inpatient Hospice House of Greenville, NC.
Mr. Calemine was born on December 21, 1952 to Orlando and Myrtis Paul Calemine in Winchester, VA. He worked as an electrician’s assistant as long as his health permitted. Leslie was a loving husband and enjoyed life. He liked to spend time fishing, and being around his family. Leslie loved being the only brother to his three sisters. He was a great husband, step-father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, that will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Terry Calemine Mitchell.
Left to cherish Leslie’s memory his wife Nina; step-daughter, Melony Minor and husband Todd of Burlington, NC; granddaughter, Gracie Minor; grandson, Jessie Minor; two sisters, Cathy Calemine Gray of Greenville, NC, and Ruthie Calemine Hasty and husband Bobby, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; brother-in-law, Allen Mitchell of Merry Hill, NC; two nieces, Carla Mitchell and Elizabeth Hasty; two nephews, Brian and Philip Hasty; great niece, Bayan Alam; and great-nephew, Chase Hasty.
The family will receive friends to honor Leslie’s memory on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

I knew Leslie from all the way back to high school days. He was a really good guy.So sorry for the loss of Leslie to his family and friends.

I’m so sorry to hear of Leslie’s passing. Although I had not seen Leslie in many years I have recently befriended him on face book. My brother, Mike Morris and Leslie were very good friends in high school and I felt like Leslie was one of my brothers too. My prayers are with all of the family.

So sorry to hear of Leslie’s passing. He was.alwasy so easy going, care free, and happy. I always remember him smiling. Living beside Mr. Calamine all my younger years, he moved on the other side when I was a teenager. My prayers are with his family that I grew up beside, and to Nina, my heart goes out to you. I will not be in town town next Saturday I will miss seeing all of you. My Condolences.
