A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Dawson Baptist Church in Scotland Neck. Interment will follow at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery. The Reverend Hilton Jeffreys will be presiding.
Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hale, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Hale of Greenville, Linda H. Johnson and husband Eddie of Scotland Neck, and Theresa H. Hinnant and husband Danny of Halifax; sons, Tony Hale and wife Judy and Charles Hale all of Scotland Neck; sisters, Mary Wommack, Anne Lippincott, and Euphamy Twisdale all of Scotland Neck; eleven grandchildren, Davie Hale and wife Kim, Sugar Hale Edwards and husband Jason, West Hale and wife Ashleigh, Emily Hale, Lee Hale and wife Lynn, Pammy Hale Josey and husband Tripp, Paul Lewis Hale, Cody Hale, Judy Marie Johnson, Jenny Johnson, and Chris Hinnant; and three great-grandchildren, Katherine Edwards, James Edwards, and Hannah Hale.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dawson Baptist Church Building Fund, 121 Stallion Drive, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.
